This issue occurs when OSDP readers with Secure Channel enabled are downstream from access controllers or reader interfaces that do not support Secure Channel.
To resolve: The Secure Channel configuration needs to be changed.
- From the sidebar, select Devices to display the device tree.
- Select the OSDP reader to open its configuration screen.
- De-select Use Secure Channel. Select
to disable 
this option. - Select Save.
X-Series access controllers and Series 3 reader interfaces support Secure Channel OSDP readers.
Use Secure Channel is enabled by default for new readers.
