From the Elements portal, a Switch Tech credential needs to be issued to an Elements user with administrator privileges so they can provision the Switch Tech locks and override reader (lock) modes.

  1. From the sidebar, select People. The People list is displayed.
  2. Select Add a Person, or choose an existing person to open person's details screen.
  3. Under Credentials, select Add a Credential, and then choose the Mobile.
  4. For mobile credentials:
    1. Choose "Switch Tech" as the Mobile Type.
    2. Enter the person's Email address.
    3. Select toggle switch (off) to enable toggle switch (on) Administration Privileges.
    4. Select Add.
  5. A PIN is must be assigned to this person. Select Assign PIN.
  6. On the Add a PIN screen:
    1. Select Use generated PIN to use the automatically generated PIN or de-select this option to change the PIN manually.
    2. Email PIN should be selected to received the generated PIN.
    3. Select Add.
  7. On the credential screen, select Add.
  8. Select Save. If you exit this screen after adding the credential information without saving, you will be prompted to save or discard your changes.

Get the Switch Tech App

  1. Check your email and download the Switch Tech app.

    The access token and PIN are emailed separately for security purposes. These are used to sign in to the Switch Tech app with administration privileges

  2. Log in to the Switch Tech app with the token and PIN, then you will be ready to install the lock.
