  • New capability for people groups: Assign readers to people groups for better access control configuration.

  • User authentication:

    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is available to enhance the security of the Elements sign-in process.

    • MFA is optional by default. Administrators may require the use of an authenticator app or allow an email verification option.

    • Change settings, such as account password, MFA, or OpenDyslexic, through the User Preferences menu.

  • ReportBot: ReportBot now has conversational memory. The context of a conversation is maintained within the same session.

  • ASSA ABLOY IN Series IP-Enabled Locks: ASSA ABOY IN120 Wi-Fi or IN220 PoE IP-enabled locks can be integrated with Elements to provide access control.

  • Maps:

    • A new Map Builder page is available to build maps and floor plans for sites configured in the system.

    • Use the geographic location or upload images to represent the site and position devices on them.

    • From the Map view on the dashboard, view device details and execute commands.

  • Rhombus enhancements:

    • More advanced video playback capabilities are available for Rhombus cameras, such as switching between live and recorded video streams, timeline zoom in/out, and digital zoom support.

    • Both US and EU endpoints are supported for the API key.

  • Elements OnGuard Connector version 2: Share data between Elements and an OnGuard system by configuring accounts (formerly known as sites) in the Elements OnGuard Connector.

    • Enable or disable synchronization of cardholders and/or events as needed.

    • Select Elements groups to assign OnGuard cardholders to when synced.

    • Configure the schedule for cardholder syncs, with options for full or incremental syncs.

    • Define multiple rules to handle cardholder syncing.

    • Apply filters to limit Elements events synced to OnGuard.

    • A new History page displays the details of cardholder pushes that have occurred for each Elements account.

    • The legacy version of the Connector is now named “OnGuard Connector v1.”

  • ReportBot: Use ReportBot, an AI-based tool, to obtain valuable information about your Elements system.

  • Rhombus surveillance platform: Play video at various speeds and open the Rhombus Console to log in and view video in its native platform.

  • Cisco Meraki cameras: Elements is now capable of playing captured video events from Meraki cameras.

  • Honeywell video recorder: Integrate with the Honeywell 35 Series recorder to add cameras and facilitate video monitoring in Elements.

  • Rhombus integration: Integration with the Rhombus video security system is supported. By configuring a Rhombus connector and adding its cameras, view video and receive events in the Elements system.

Product Updates 2026-04-29

  • View all activity link: When viewing the recent events of a person, device, or space, navigate to the Events page by selecting View All. The Events page will be automatically filtered based on the details screen that was being viewed.

  • Temporary access: Temporary access can optionally be assigned through people groups, with activation and/or deactivation dates.

  • Prevent unsubscribe: A new option in email notifications may be used to prevent unsubscribing from important emails.

  • Maps on the dashboard:

    • A map view displays the locations of sites configured in the system.

    • Use the map to zoom in for a detailed view of the site location or apply a site filter.

  • Data retention options: The data retention period may be changed. Options include 90 days, 180 days, or 365 days. Use the Marketplace page to contact your integrator about changing the data retention period.

Product Updates 2026-03-04

  • New view for devices: The Devices page may be displayed in the traditional Tree View or the new List View.

  • New and improved search functionality:

    • Search by device name on the Devices page.

    • Extended Search - A system-wide search can be performed to find specific devices (including gateways), spaces, people, or groups.

  • Device report: This report lists all devices in the system including the total devices count and individual device details with statuses and configuration.

  • Billing (in the management portal):

    • There is no longer any need to enter billing contacts. LenelS2 customer service will provide individual customer invoices.

    • Billing summaries can no longer be generated after July 2025. Existing billing summaries will be removed one year from this date.

  • New triggers added for scheduled automation:

    • Once – Single Date and Time: Use this option to execute configured actions once, on a specific day and time.

    • Calendar: Use this option to execute configured actions on a recurring basis (daily/weekly/monthly).
