BlueDiamond Toolkit

The BlueDiamond Toolkit is needed to provision BlueDiamond readers. To have access to the toolkit, this option must be enabled by the integrator.

Enable the Toolkit

Access to the toolkit can be enabled for users who are installing and configuring readers in the system.

In the management portal, select a person to open their details screen.
Select BlueDiamond Toolkit to enable this option and display the Invite screen.
Enter an email address so the system can email instructions for the toolkit. To save the new email address, select Save this email for this person's record.
Select Send.
Select Save. The email with instructions is sent and BlueDiamond Toolkit is enabled.
If the user no longer needs access to the toolkit, select and then Remove to confirm removing access to the toolkit. BlueDiamond Toolkit will be disabled.

The email contains instructions for the user to begin setting up the toolkit.

Follow the instructions in the email to download and install the toolkit app.
Launch the toolkit app.
Select the Received authorization code in email option (do not select the option to verify using phone number).
Enter the configuration setup information provided in the email (PIN code and authorization code) to log in to the toolkit.
Make note of the PIN code. After a period of inactivity, the app may prompt for the PIN code to be entered.
Select Authorize. The toolkit app then displays the readers with their serial numbers and status.

In the toolkit app, select the reader serial number and select Install.
From the drop-down, choose the owner (customer) for the reader.
Select a device name for the reader. The device names that appear are from the readers that were configured in the customer portal.
Select Install. The progress is indicated on the screen.
When completed, select OK. On the main screen where readers are listed, the device name and status of the reader will be updated.
