Integration of the Rhombus surveillance platform creates additional video capabilities for Elements. The Rhombus integration may be requested on the Marketplace page.
A Rhombus integration requires a license and may affect the system operating costs. Contact your VAR for more information.
Before using Rhombus video in Elements, install and configure the Rhombus products according to the manufacturer documentation.
Elements Configuration
Configuration of the Rhombus connector is done in the customer portal.
Add the Rhombus Connector
On the Devices page, select Add > Rhombus Connector.
On the configuration screen, enter a descriptive name for the device.
Select the Rhombus location.
If the system is configured to use sites, the Rhombus connector may be assigned to a site.
Select Done.
If the Rhombus connector is deleted, all associated cameras will also be deleted.
Add a Rhombus Camera
Rhombus cameras may be added to Elements one at a time or all the Rhombus cameras may be added. Rhombus cameras may be added to monitor spaces or elevators, or added to the dashboard video view.
To add a single camera:
On the Rhombus Connector, select Add a Rhombus Camera.
On the configuration screen, enter a descriptive Name for the device. This name will be used to identify the camera in the Elements system.
Select the camera. The cameras are listed based on the MAC address or camera name configured in the Rhombus system.
Select Save.
To add multiple cameras:
On the Rhombus Connector, select Add All Rhombus Cameras.
Select Add All to confirm importing all the cameras, or Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
When importing all Rhombus cameras, the camera names in Elements will be automatically renamed with the Rhombus system camera names.
After the camera has been successfully added in Elements, it is shown in the list with its connection status - online or offline. When the camera is online, its details screen may be used to view live video or captured video events from the camera.
Events
The events of Rhombus cameras (camera online, camera offline, hardware failure, and activity events) appear in the event feed along with other events.
Rhombus events may be filtered as an event type.
Events may be filtered by a specific camera.
Rhombus events can be used as triggers for email and cloud automation rules.
When an offline or online event is received, the status for the camera will be updated accordingly.
