Once a lockdown is started, no credential will grant access through doors that are locked down.
Start a Lockdown Profile
- From the lockdown profiles list, select Start Lockdown on the profile you want to lockdown. (A lockdown can also be started from the profile details screen and the dashboard.)
- Confirm this action by selecting Start.
- During lockdown:
- Readers and locks configured for this profile enter a locked mode.
- The profile's status is Active.
- The profile reader and lock count shows how many of these devices are locked and assigned to the profile. For example, if the reader count is 2/2 (both readers assigned to the profile are locked).
End a Lockdown Profile
- From the lockdown profiles list, select End Lockdown to stop the profile's lockdown. (A lockdown can also be stopped from the profile details screen and the dashboard.)
- Confirm this action by selecting End.
- When a lockdown is ended for a profile:
- Readers and locks configured for the profile return to their normal operating mode.
- The profile's status is Inactive.
- The profile's reader and lock count shows how many of these devices are locked and assigned to the profile. For example, if the reader count is 0/2 (neither of the 2 readers assigned to this profile are locked down.).
Readers and locks can be belong to multiple profiles. This may affect lockdown management. For example, if a reader belongs to a profile that is locked down and another profile that is not locked down, the reader will remain in a locked mode. To manually change the reader mode of a reader from the overridden locked mode to the reader's normal operating mode, select on the reader in the devices list, and then choose Release Override.
