LenelS2 is pleased to announce the release of the following features and improvements for Elements.

The following changes are now available in your Elements System:

New Features

  • Customer Portal Permissions: Roles can be assigned to people controlling what access they have when logged in to Elements
  • Gateway LED Support: The latest Elements gateways can now convey a variety of statuses using LED lights
  • Scheduled Reader Modes: Reader modes can be automated using easy-to-create schedules with holiday exceptions

  • Gateway
    • General gateway defects and optimizations
    • Gateway identifier is now referred to as "System ID"
    • Fixed a defect that created failed firmware download scenarios
  • Device
    • Fixed an issue where offline readers could not be set to "Card only"
  • Interface
    • Fixed a bug where duplicate error messages were displayed
    • Fixed an issue where space details showed no assigned people
    • Improved WCAG accessibility in Edge browser. Form instructions now display correctly.
    • Event details for spaces and people are now read-only
  • General
    • Fixed a defect where card formats were not downloaded to panels correctly
    • Fixed an issue where users were being unauthenticated even when expiration was not reached

    • Gateway LEDs: User-friendly LED support for gateway devices. See documentation for LED status list.
  • UI Improvements
    • Improved text box validation no longer accepts entry of only space characters
    • People added to a new space are now displayed correctly
    • Improved display of confirmation modals
    • Fixed an issue where Gateway devices could not be deleted using its action menu
    • Controller status display is more informative when gateway is offline
    • Accessibility improvements in the event feed

    • Fixed an issue when reloading with an interface causes readers to be unusable

    • Improved Device Command Reliability: Configuration changes, such as access assignment and credential changes, will reliably be synced to the gateway when connectivity is restored after being lost

    • Privacy Policy and Terms of Service Transparency: New users of the system will now be able to accept policies and agreements as part of the registration process
    • Send Feedback: Added a button for users to easily send feedback via email
  • UI Bug Fixes and Improvements
    • Fixed an issue with animated icons in Safari
    • Fixed an issue with scrolling the People list on mobile devices
    • List of people with access to a space is now sorted alphabetically by last name
  • General Improvements
    • Improved user feedback when short term commands (e.g. Open Door) fail due to the gateway being offline
    • Fixed an issue that prevented invitations from working intermittently
    • Fixed an issue that prevented usernames from being captured in the audit reports
