Add an Input Blade
After the Network Node is added, inputs blades can be configured for it.
- On the Network Node, select and then choose Add an Input Blade.
- On the Configuration screen, enter a descriptive Name for the input blade.
- Select the Slot at which the input blade is connected to the node. Note: The slot must not be in use by another device.

Input Blade Actions
Select on a configured input blade to access these actions:
- View Details - Presents read-only input blade information and any recent input blade events. For more information about an input blade event, select the event to open its details screen.
- Configure - Select to modify the input blade.
- Delete - Select to remove the input blade configuration.
Deleting an input blade also deletes its associated inputs.
Configure Inputs
Each input blade is added with eight (8) configurable input placeholders. To configure an input, complete the following steps:
- Under the input blade in the Devices list, select Add Input to open the input configuration screen.
- Enter a descriptive Name for the input.
- Alarm Delay: Enter the number of seconds to wait before the alarm is reported from the hardware.
- Supervision: Select a supervision type and normally open / closed option. See input supervision types.
Armed on Schedule: Enable this option to arm inputs for a specified time ("Always", "Never", or on a schedule configured in the system). While armed, inputs are ready to receive changes in state (become activated) and generate alarms. While disarmed, inputs cannot be activated or report alarms. For example: Armed inputs could be used to prevent motion sensors from triggering alarms during business hours. This could be accomplished by placing the motion sensor inputs in a group with a schedule configured for non-operational business hours.
Activate output when input is activated: If enabled, choose which output will be activated when this input is activated.
Select Save to save the configuration. If you exit this screen after entering the input information without saving, you will be prompted to save or discard your change.
.
The available configurable inputs can be filtered. From the above the Devices list, select Hide available slots or Show available slots. Showing the available input slots is useful during configuration, but once the required inputs are configured, hiding any unused inputs makes it easier to view the configuration.
As a further configuration aid, the Devices list provides the blade position of the inputs in the Type column.
