When troubleshooting, diagnostic logging may be enabled. While logging is enabled, information is collected, such as system processes, errors, firmware versions, resource usage, or network configuration.

  1. On the gateway or recorder, select Devices actions menu and then choose Start LoggingWhen the logging process starts, a "Diagnostic Logging Started" event is generated and displayed on the Events page. The device tree and device details screen indicate a status of "Diagnostic logging" during this time.
  2. If there are specific procedures needed for troubleshooting (for example, steps that lead to an error), perform them while logging is enabled.
  3. On the device details screen, select Actions menu and then choose Stop Logging. When the logging process is complete, a "Diagnostic Logging Ended" event is generated and displayed on the Events page. The log is saved to the cloud.
