When new firmware is available for a device, a "Firmware Update Required" alert is displayed in the events feed.

  1. From the sidebar, select Devices. 
  2. Select the device that requires a firmware update or choose it from the warnings on the dashboard.
  3. On the device details screen, select Update Firmware.
  4. Select Continue to confirm the firmware update or Cancel to abandon the operation.

An event is generated when the firmware update is started. During the firmware update, the device will be unavailable for a few minutes and incoming events will not be reported. An event is generated when the firmware update is complete.
