If a gateway is offline for more than 12 hours, and has pending configuration changes, it will enter a “synchronization required” state. The configuration changes will not take effect until the gateway is synchronized.

Synchronize All Gateways

1. A system-wide banner displays the warning, "Gateway synchronization is required".
2. From the banner, select Synchronize Now to update all gateways that need to be synchronized.
3. Select Synchronize to confirm or Cancel to abandon the operation. During synchronization, the downstream devices of the gateways will also be synchronized. The devices will be offline until synchronization is complete.

Synchronize One Gateway

1. Open the gateway details screen. Alternatively, choose the synchronization warning from the warnings on the dashboard.
2. Select Synchronize Now.
3. Select Synchronize to confirm or Cancel to abandon the operation. During synchronization, the downstream devices of the gateway will also be synchronized.
