Node Threat Levels are only available if the option to Allow Threat Levels - LenelS2 Node controllers is enabled in System Options.

A threat level can be raised (made active) by selecting Start for it. When a threat level is activated, some people may lose access while others may gain access.

By default, two threat levels are created when Allow Threat Levels is enabled in System Options.

  • Normal: This threat level represents normal operation of the controller and is active by default. When Normal is active, everyone has access in the system.
  • Threat: This is a generic threat level that you can configure.

Add a Threat Level

  1. Under System Options, select Node Threat Levels.
  2. On the New Threat Level page, select Add a Threat Level. Up to eight (8) threat levels can be created.
  3. Enter a name for the new threat level.
  4. To differentiate this threat level from others, select a color and icon for it.
  5. Select Save.

Start a Threat Level

Only one threat level can be active at a time.

  1. Select Start on the threat level you need to activate.
  2. A warning reports that only people assigned to this threat level will have access while this threat level is active. Select Start to confirm activation.

The Normal mode is automatically deactivated when you start a threat level (make it active). Once an active threat is resolved, return to normal operation by starting the Normal mode. This will automatically deactivate the resolved threat level and allow everyone access.

Threat levels can be activated here (from the threat level list) or from the threat level button shown at the upper right corner of every Elements page. This button displays the current threat level mode. You can select it to immediately raise a threat level to active or return to the Normal mode.

View or Modify a Threat Level

  1. From the threat level list, select the threat level you want to view or change.
  2. On the threat level details screen, select actions menu and then choose View Threat Level.
  3. If needed, you can change the Name of the threat level or choose a different color or icon.
  4. Select Save if you made any changes.

Delete a Threat Level

Deleting a threat level removes it from any threat level groups it is assigned to.

The default "Normal" threat level cannot be deleted.

  1. From the threat level list, select the threat level to be deleted.
  2. On the threat level details screen, select actions menu and then choose Delete.
  3. Select Delete to confirm deletion of the threat level or Cancel to keep it.
