When an output interface is configured for elevator control, its outputs will not be displayed on the Devices page to prevent them from being configured accidentally for other purposes.

Configure a dedicated elevator output interface in the system. This device needs to be added to the same access controller as the reader for the elevator cab.

  1. From the sidebar, select Devices.
  2. Select actions menu on an access controller, and then choose Add Output Interface. When the maximum number of output interfaces are added, this action will be disabled.
  3. On the New Output Interface screen:
    1. Enter a Name for the output interface.
    2. Port can be modified if the controller has two (2) ports. This specifies the controller port to which this output interface is attached.
    3. Enter the Address. This number corresponds to the DIP switch setting on the output interface.
    4. Select toggle switch (off) to enable toggle switch (on)Dedicated Elevator Control.
  4. Select Save to save the configuration. If you exit this screen after entering the output interface information without saving, you will be prompted to save or discard your change.

Once an output interface is saved as an elevator interface, elevator control cannot be switched off. The elevator interface must be deleted and added again to that device.

Delete an Elevator Interface

Deleting an elevator interface deletes its associated outputs. Elevators cabs that use a deleted elevator interface will be removed and floor access for those elevator cabs will be affected.

  1. On the Devices page, select actions menu on the elevator interface, and then choose Delete.
  2. Select Delete to confirm deletion of the elevator interface, or Cancel to keep the interface.
