Elevators
Only roles with permission to manage devices can configure elevators. See Roles.
People can use their credentials to access floors on multiple elevators in the facility.
For this to happen, any reader in the system can be configured as a dedicated elevator device that controls:
- Which floors elevators may go to.
- Which floors people may access.
Examples of 16-floor elevator configurations:
- Use both LNL-2220 onboard readers with a single LNL-1200 Output Interface to create 2 elevators. The elevators provide 8 + 8 floors (16 buttons).
- Use the LNL-2210 onboard reader and LNL-1320* dual readers with a single LNL-1200 to create 3 elevators. The elevators provide 6 + 6 + 4 floors (16 buttons). In this example the elevators go to the some of the same floors. The first elevator goes to floors 1 - 6, the second to floors 6 - 11, and the third to floors 11 - 14.
* The outputs on the LNL-1320 board do not currently support elevators. Therefore, only use LNL-1200 outputs for LNL-1320 elevator configurations.
For elevators with more than 16 floors:
Multiple Output Interfaces (LNL-1200s) are used. In such configurations, the Output Interfaces associated with an elevator cab cannot be shared with other cab configurations.
