Export Video

Video streaming and video downloads use a metered connection and may affect the system operating costs. Contact your VAR for more information.

The cloud video data is limited to 1 GB of free data monthly for each camera configured in the system. Video clips may be stored for 15 days. Upgrading the limits incurs an additional cost which will be reflected on the current bill. If additional video data or extended video clip storage is required, they can be upgraded on the Marketplace page.

Video can be exported as an MPEG-4 (MP4) file for downloading.

The following procedures can only be performed by roles with permission to export video. See Roles.

Choose the camera and view the video to be exported.
On the Camera details screen or while viewing the video in full screen, select Export Video.
On the Export Video screen, choose a time range from the drop-down for the video, or enter a custom time range. The maximum duration is one hour.
Enter the Expiration.
Optionally, Set a limit for download.
Select Export.

After video is exported, the file is available for download on the Video Clips page.

Exported video files are intended for offline archives. Exported video is not backed up in the system so disaster recovery retention policies do not apply to them. To retain a record of the files, save them locally.
