Video streaming and video downloads use a metered connection and may affect the system operating costs. Contact your VAR for more information.

The cloud video data is limited to 1 GB of free data monthly for each camera configured in the system. If additional data is required, the video data limit can be upgraded on the Marketplace page.

Select the camera on the Devices page to view video.

  1. From the sidebar, select Devices.
  2. Above the devices list, select the recorder to which the camera is connected.

  3. Select the camera from the list. The Camera details screen displays the information and video for that camera.

Alternatively, if an event is accompanied by video, it may be viewed from the Events page.

  1. From the sidebar, select Events. A video icon Video icon indicates that the event is accompanied by video.
  2. There are two ways to view the video:
    • Select Video icon next to the event to choose a camera. The Camera details screen displays the video for that camera based on the time of the event.
    • Select the event to view the event details. The Camera details screen displays the video for that camera based on the time of the event.

The ability to view live or recorded video is based on the availability of video on the recorder and user permissions set by the role assigned.

As the video usage approaches the limit (depending on the license option), usage warnings will appear on the dashboard and event feed. If the usage reaches 100%, video cloud streaming and downloads will no longer be allowed. Video service will resume at the beginning of the next billing cycle, or contact your VAR for a different license option to ensure uninterrupted service.

Video Quality

Live video can be streamed in high quality or low quality resolution. Lower quality video may be appropriate if there are concerns about limited bandwidth.

To change the quality of the resolution while viewing video, select the drop-down in the upper right corner while viewing. For the Quality, select Full or Low.

Playback of recorded video is only available in full/high quality because the system records video in full quality resolution.
