Important
Make sure the old controller is disconnected and the new replacement controller is online before promoting.
When promoting from an LNL-2220 controller to an LNL-4420 controller, all downstream devices must be moved to Port 1 on the LNL-4420.
From the sidebar, select Devices.
- Select the access controller you want to promote or select
on the access controller and choose View Details. - On the access controller details screen:
- Select and choose Promote Controller.
- Select the controller model to promote to from the list.
- Select Save to save the change.
- When you confirm promoting the controller, this will initiate controller synchronization.
