Node-based reader details provide information about the reader's online or offline status, current reader mode, and any notifications or recent events for the reader. Notifications are important reader alerts that require immediate attention such as Door Forced Open.

You can change the door mode (override the current mode) or temporarily open a door from this screen.

  1. From the device tree, select action menu on the reader, and then choose View Details to open the reader details screen.
  2. If there are any reader notifications, these will be displayed in the Statuses list.

  3. To see more details about a reader event, select the event from the Recent Activity list.

Reader Actions

Select actions menu from the reader details screen or select  configured reader to access these actions:

  • Temporary Unlock - Select to open a door without presenting a credential. The door associated with the reader is unlocked for a few seconds.
  • Release Door Mode Override - Select to release the door mode override and return the reader to its configured mode with or without a schedule.
  • View Details - Presents read-only reader information and any recent reader events. For more information about a reader event, select the event to open its details screen.
  • Configure - Select to modify the reader.
  • Delete - Select to remove the reader configuration. Also see Delete a Node Reader.
