The configuration web page is used to edit the data security setting of the access controller.

When logging in the first time, since no other users are defined yet, the default user name (admin) and password (password) are required for configuring this board. Access controllers are shipped from the factory with a default login account, which is always available when DIP switch 1 is moved from OFF to ON after power up. The default login user name and password are available for five (5) minutes once enabled. Before disabling the default username and password, make sure at least one user has been created and then set DIP switch 1 to OFF before the controller is commissioned. Do not configure the controller with an IP address that is accessible from the public Internet.

  1. Open a browser and navigate to the device using the IP address of the access controller.

All controllers have a static certificate that reflects a static IP address. This causes a warning to appear initially when logging in that reports a problem with this website's security certificate. Although it is not recommended, proceed to the website.

  2. Click the link to go to the login page. The factory default does not have a security certificate. Depending on the browser and security settings, a certificate error may be displayed. Continue anyway.

  3. Log in using the user name and password. The Home page is displayed.
  4. Select the Host Comm link to display the Host Communication page.
  5. Make sure "TLS Required" is selected for Data Security.

"TLS Required" is available for LAN connections only.

  6. Select Accept.
  7. Select the Apply Settings link, and then select Apply Settings, Reboot to save the change.
