Credential type reader modes ensure that people have valid badges and mobile credentials. However, some reader modes are less secure, and are intended for low security doors or for people who forget their badge.
Secure Reader Modes
- Card only
- Card and PIN
- Locked
Less Secure Reader Modes are flagged with a low security indicator ↓ to help operators identify these modes at a glance.
- Card or PIN
- Facility code only
- Unlocked
PINs can only be issued to people with credentials.
