1. From the sidebar, select People. The People list is displayed.
  2. Select Add a Person to add a new person to the system or choose a person to edit their information. 
    • The person details screen includes the space and credential assignments, as well as any recent events associated with the person. 
    • For more information about a recent person event, select it from the list to open its details screen.
  3. On the person details screen, enter the First name, Last name, Email, and Person ID.
    • First name and last name are required fields.
    • The person ID must be unique.
  4. Select the profile icon to add a photo of the person.
    Choose photo
    1. Choose photo: Find a photo file of the person to upload.
    2. Make adjustments by cropping or resizing the photo. Select Done to add the photo and exit the Crop and Resize screen.
  5. Above the person details, use the toggle button to mark the person Active or Inactive.
    When a person is marked inactive:
    1. Their credentials will not work for accessing readers, even if the credentials are active.
    2. If a role has been assigned to enable login access, they will not be able to sign in to the Elements system.

      Users cannot change the status of their own account.

  6. Custom fields may be used to enter additional information. If any custom fields are required, they must be completed to add the person.
  7. Issue a credential or badge to the person so they can interact with readers to gain access to spaces. 

  8. To change person's credential status:
    1. On the person details screen, select the credential you want to change.
    2. Active credentials can be changed to Lost, Stolen, Damaged, Terminated, or Other. When selecting Other, type in a reason for removing the credential. 

      Both active and inactive credentials are shown on the person details screen.

  9. To manage the person's membership in groups, add the person to a group. This may provide access to spaces.
  10. To give the person access to spaces in the facility, assign the person to spaces.
  11. Issue a PIN to the person so they can use their credentials and PIN to interact with readers to gain access to spaces with two-factor authentication.
  12. If the person needs to log in to help manage the system, assign a role to the person.
  13.  If the person needs more time to enter a doorway, enable extended access times.
  14. Select Save
